Jacpot goes to the Lacaster Dog Park

We went to the Lancaster Dog Park for the first time to see what it was like. Of course Jacpot had a great time meeting some new friends.

Trying to see who can smile bigger for the camera.

Jacpot Returns To Pasadena

We had another great day as Jacpot, Cindy, and I returned for another adventure in Pasadena. We started the day at Galcos, buying a wide variety of sodas that you don't find in a regular store. Afterwards we were off to the dog park a few miles away...

Jacpot wonders if this is the movie star from the Disney Movie.

Sometimes Jacpot thinks this place is for the dogs so he hangs out with a human friend he just met for a while.

Jacpot's thinking these guys take a lot of vitamins.

After a good time at the park Jacpot needs to take a coffee break.

Jacpot likes to watch the fountain.
We had a nice time shopping at Outdoor Adventure.
Especially since they allow dogs inside.
On the way home Chris was determined to open up one of the soda pops we bought at Galcos even though we didn't have a bottle cap opener. After about 30 attempts, and some bloody knuckles......
SUCCESS!!!!!!

RUN AGAINST VIOLENCE 5K/1K

Jacpot and I ran in the Run Against Violence 5k. The first mile Jacpot was a little too excited and was determined to catch up with the lead runners. Therefore we played tug and pull for quite a while and it wasn't easy to keep him under control. Eventually he caught on that we were just out for a cruise and he mellowed a little. I am pleased to report Jacpot was unofficially the first place dog (I don't think they keep track) but his fellow runner was way back for the human race.

Jacpot Goes To Pasadena

After seeing a couple of episodes on Huell Howser about Galco's Store, Cindy, Jacpot and I decided to take a trip to Pasadena. What makes Galco's so special is all the unique variety of Soda Pop. An example of some of the drinks are "Black Lemonade" (yes it was black) and Leninade. There's Bulldog Root Beer and X Root Beer Riot; A root beer with caffeine, herbs and guarana for extra energy, just to name a few. The only problem was the line was probably 20 people long, so we just looked around and didn't buy anything... looks like we will have to go a little earlier in the morning next time.

Cindy looked up a couple of dog parks (we went to both) and we had a great lunch and sight seeing in Old Pasadena.

You can bet we'll be back for more play at the park and soda pop from Galco's.

Jacpot's Week in the Mountains

Jacpot ready to go snowmobiling.

Jacpot wondering where the snowball went?????

Jacpot playing with Warren. The next day Warren's arm was broken, not by Jacpot but by "grinding" on his snowboard.

Jacpot playing hide and seek.

Jacpot goes out for a pass by Steve.

Teresa and Jacpot play catch.

Taking a break after a fun day in the snow.

We visit the cabin once owned by the family of Cindy's dad, Jerry.

Jacpot plays in the Snow House.

We had lunch at the LumberYard Brewery (formerly known as Snowshoe Brewery) out on the patio. Our waitress Shorty (see below) was terrific and brought Jacpot water and took great care of us.

Graduation

It was graduation night for Jacpot tonight after an 8 week obedience class at PetSmart. We are so Proud! :-)

Another Trip to the Beach With Few Pictures

We had a great time spending another weekend in Morro Bay with my parents, Cindy's Parents, and Cherie's parents, along with brother Eric and Cherie. Saturday Jacpot had a good time at the beach and we got some great pictures. That evening after using the restroom and flushing the toilet (sorry, but it's relevant) my camera dropped out of my sweatshirt and into the toilet in mid-flush. I figured I would merely gather the camera after the flush was finished... turns out the camera never returned. Who would have thought a camera could get flushed down a toilet. After leaving, my parents called a plumber and the decision was made to put in a brand new toilet, since he couldn't get the camera out. The plumbers last words to my parents were that he would break open the toilet to get the camera, but do I really want it back? Will keep you posted.
