Jacpot's Week

As the weather warms up Jacpot enjoys taking a water break on our runs.

Jacpot gets a new friend.

After about 5 minutes of practice with a newspaper one afternoon earlier in the week, Jacpot gives fetch a try in the morning. Unfortunately the video is a little dark, but that's what it's like at 5:30 in the moring.

Jacpot At The Park - The Movie

The staples from my head were removed the other day so Jacpot and I are back to running in the hills, but didn't take the camera along. I did take the camera along to one of our park visits the other day to see "the gang" and thought I would upload a little of the video.

Another Trip To The Mountains

We had another great time on an adventure. Unlike last week I didn't have any head trauma, just a lot of fun with a lot of friends. Jac enjoyed meeting, Frank and Kim, the Groenvelds, Slattums, and Ken and Patty and their kids. Of course Jac was happy to see the Shores again and Teresa. We walked around the lake in the snow (at least part of the lake) and another time just hung out down in the middle of what is the lake in the summer. Of course Jac's favorite thing is always getting to play with his good buddy Flick (see video below) that lives next door to our cabin in the mountains.

Escape To The Beach

What a great time we had at Morro Bay this past weekend.

We frollicked on the beach between Morro Bay and Cayucos. An unoffiical dog beach, or what I call "Dog Heaven".

Dogs and their owners walk up and down the beach. Jacpot had a great time going from one playmate to another. Brandon and Joe came along and brought Harley (Black Lab) with them and Jac was delighted to have a companion the whole weekend... we're not sure how Harley felt though.

We took a couple of trips rollerblading at the Cloisters by the beach.

Also had a nice time eating lunch in San Luis Obispo and then the dogs got to play in the creek down below.

Oh yeah, on the last day (Monday) I fell on the roller blades and smacked my head against the path and had to go to the emergency room, but I am okay and even with the mishap still had a
GREAT weekend. Don't worry mom, Cindy and I have already decided we are getting helmets!

Bye For Now! ~Jacpot

Jacpot says big Thank You to Kim G.

Jac's good buddy Kim sent him a picture of the two of us in the snow at Pinecrest Lake in a great picture frame. I love pictures that are not posed and show acutal events. Kim titled it "A Man And His Dog".

Running after the Storm

What a beautiful day today. Jac and I ran in the hills after a rainy weekend. One of the great things about living in the Antelope Valley in the Winter is getting to enjoy the beautiful snow capped mountains surrounding us.

Jacpot visits Morro Bay

Jacpot's first trip to the beach was a blast getting to play with all the other dogs in the surf. Of course I brought my camera to get many good shots, only to find out I left the flash card at home. Perhaps my mom will send me some of the pictures my dad took when we took Jacpot to visit the elephant seals and then for a barbecue picnic overlooking the ocean.

Just got a couple pictures from my mom in the mail of our picnic at the ocean, guess she still likes sending it the slow way.

Jacpot Has Surgery

Since Jacpot had surgery this week to have his dew claws removed and get neutered, there is not much for him to do. We go out for walks but are keeping his activity low and trying to keep him from tearing his stitches.

Jacpot likes to take in the sights from the backyard.

Playing between the Storms

Cindy Jac and I went to the park before the second wave of storms arrived. Afterward we had a good nap.
