Jacpot returns to the Mountains

We had another great time at the cabin with the Shores and Labrenzes. Cindy, Jacpot, and I ran around the lake almost every morning and then Jacpot went swimming for a while. Jacpot had a great time playing in the river at Kennedy Meadows in the swift river water, Christi took some pictures and I should get them one day. Other activities included 9 of us mountain biking from Fraser Flat Campground to Strawberry and back except Jacpot and I ran, again I forgot to bring a camera but Mark took a picture at the beginning.
The three of us have a Subway Sandwich in Sonora after a day of going to some Thrift Stores and getting some groceries.

After Jacpot spent 10 days with the Hursts it seemed like Teresa missed running with Jacpot, so we gave her a 5:30 a.m. wake up call to join us. We had a great run... perhaps she will join us again.

Jacpot Stays Home, We go to Europe

Even though we couldn't be with our Jacpot we were lucky enough to get to spend two days with Jack Jack (Groenveld's dog). The picture is taken at an outdoor cafe in Amsterdam and we had just sat down when it started to pour down rain. We had a wonderful time drinking hot chocolate and beer while we watched the rain... it cleared up just as we finished our beverages.

Cindy and I just got back after a 15 day tour in Europe, 10 of those on a cruise on the Baltic Sea.

Jacpot stayed with Abe for 5 days and the Hursts f0r 10. Below are two links that have some of the photos of our trip. I divided the pictures due to a limit on upload size and they are just added to my parents 50th anniversary pictures as I did not take the time to set up a new file at the moment.

The highlights were:
1. Getting to spend a couple of days in Holland with the Groenvelds. (They were awesome hosts!)
2. Visiting where my ancestors are from (Denmark) for the first time, with my parents and brother Eric and Cherie.
3. A 10 day Cruise through the Baltic: Sweden, Finland, Russia (not sure if the subway ride there was one of my least favorite or one of my most favorite of the trip... perhaps a little of both), Estonia, Poland, and Norway.
4. I made sure to have a beer made in each country we visited, and then I was happy to do whatever came our way. Although we visited many beautiful cathedrals, parks, museums, etc. I definitely enjoyed relaxing at the outdoor cafes and watching all the people and their lifestyles in that part of the country.

Jacpot Goes To The Mountains

We had a great time spending about 10 days up at Cold Springs. Below are some of our adventures.

We ran around the lake (4.5 miles) every day except for one due to the smoky air of the northern CA fires. Cindy (above with Jacpot), Teresa, Cindy, myself, and Jacpot all had perfect attendance on the runs. Warren and Judy joined us occasionally.




Jacpot had major concerns about going into the water no matter how much encouragement we gave him. Evenutally he reallized he liked to swim and fetched sticks after each run for as long as we would keep throwing them... see video below.

Jacpot went kayaking for the first time and had a good time. Jennie and Jacob went kayaking as well but I didn't get any pictures, but I'm sure there will be pictures on the White Spot when Ann and the kids gets home.

Jacpot Goes To Santa Monica

We enjoyed another great visit with Brandon, Joe, and of course Harley. Took a walk along the pier and saw the new Ferris Wheel which is the one that replaced the old one that was sold on Ebay to a guy in Oklahoma for $132,400.

After walking around we ended up at the promenade and had pizza.

Routine

At the moment we are on a regular routine of run in the hills one day, dog park the next, and repeat. We didn't get out of the house until 6:30 this morning for our run in the hills, but with things warming up we need to leave sooner. The routine will get changed up a little today as we leave for Santa Monica in a couple of hours to visit Brandon, Joe, and good buddy Harley. Below is our place at the top of the ridge where we stop each run for a water break and take in the view.

Another Adventure To Morro Bay

We had another great weekend in Morro Bay with the Hurst family coming along. After arriving around 7:00 Friday evening, Cindy, Judy, Cindy, Warren, Jacpot and myself went down to the beach to run around and watch the sunset. We were back Saturday and Sunday to enjoy the unofficial dog beach as well. I seem to have lost most of the pictures of Jacpots trips to lunch in San Luis Obispo and walking around the embarcadero in Morro Bay. I hadn't realized some pictures failed to download by the time I deleted them from my camera.
